The Problem: Outdated Gate Security in a Digital World
Imagine living in a gated community where every guest arrival means paperwork, delays, and gate confusion. Residents are frustrated, guards are overwhelmed, and security is often compromised. That was the daily reality for thousands—until we stepped in.
Our goal was clear: build a powerful mobile solution to modernize residential access—securely, swiftly, and with zero friction.
Our Mission: Create a Seamless Guest Management System
Backed by a focused team at Waapsdeveloper, I contributed as a Frontend Developer, collaborating closely with UI designers, backend engineers, and QA testers. Together, we crafted ZUUL Systems, an intuitive mobile app that puts guest access control in the hands of residents.
My Role in the Action:
- Frontend Engineering: Developed responsive, fast-loading UI screens using Angular & Ionic, optimized for both Android and iOS platforms.
- Guest Pass Logic: Built out the QR-based digital guest pass generation system, including calendar syncing, geolocation-based navigation, and auto-expiry timers for security.
- Enhanced Usability Features:
- Created Group Management for recurring visitors
- Implemented Favorite Contacts and Mobile Contact Import, reducing entry time by 40%
- Designed smooth UI transitions for a clean and modern feel
- AWS Integration: Used AWS CLI for cloud resource configuration and data handling, enabling real-time guest logs and instant pass sharing.
- Team Collaboration: Actively participated in daily scrums, sprint planning, and worked side-by-side with the QA team for iterative testing and refinement.
What Made ZUUL Stand Out?
We didn’t stop at just digitizing entry—we reimagined the experience. With a few taps, residents could:

All while ensuring strict ID verification and encrypted logs—a major win for community-level security.
